How Rodrigo Mora reimagined Luna Escondida for an unforgettable wedding

Luna Escondida rarely undergoes a complete transformation, as it did during the celebration of Elmar & Alejandro. Over the course of two days, the venue’s halls, gardens, and pathways were reimagined under the refined and avant-garde aesthetic vision of planner Rodrigo Mora.
The wedding ceremony took place in The Grand Stables, a historic building that, on this occasion, served as the setting for an intimate and meaningful moment. At dusk, guests were guided to a meticulously designed and assembled ephemeral structure in the garden beside Luna Event Hall, which provided the backdrop for a cocktail reception in a verdant oasis. Later, an elegant glasshouse tent in the picadero, facing the stables, welcomed attendees to an evening reception that lasted until the early hours.
The second day offered a new way to inhabit the venue’s spaces. The Observatory greeted guests with a floral installation that served as a prelude to the weekend’s next event. The Hummingbird Garde, traditionally reserved for weddings, became the setting for a private baptism, while Salón Luna hosted the subsequent reception.
Beyond the program’s duration, what made this wedding truly special was the intentional, respectful, and fresh way the spaces were used—each arrangement responding naturally to its surroundings and proposing a different way of experiencing the venue, all while preserving its essence.
