A brief history
of Luna
In search of comfort and privacy, guided by the warmth of childhood memories, the owners of Luna Escondida found in San Miguel de Allende the perfect mixture of tradition and a passion rooted in Mexican culture.It was once an arid, nearly barren land. Yet it held an indescribable and unexplainable magnetism that inspired a vision for the future. Guided by a sense of déjà vu upon first stepping onto the grounds, the owners acquired the property, thus the seeds for Luna Escondida were sown.A blank canvas that grew and revived itself. Luna guided and continues to guide the way.
1° Main Entrance
A cobblestone path leads to a magnificent sanctuary apart from the rhythm of the world. A beacon of harmony immersed in unparalleled privacy.
2° LAKESIDE GLAdE
A fountain in the middle of our lake greets every visitor, hinting at the tranquility that here resides.This lake, the biggest body of water in Luna Escondida, neighbors a glade which has often been used as a unique backdrop for wedding ceremonies and receptions. Tinged with the dream-like pink of sunset or embraced by the green around it, there’s no time of day when this area is not sublimely complimented.
3° Manège
(Riding arena)
Attached to the facilities where our horses are trained and enriched, stands a privileged location in Luna Escondida. The Manège (riding arena) is a leveled and large area surrounded by the property’s majestic architecture and stunning natural landscape, making it absolutely perfect for an outdoor wedding or event.
4° Stables
In addition to being the quiet, tranquil, sanctuary for our beloved horses, this magnificent structure has frequently served as a distinct venue for wedding ceremonies, and as the background of once in a lifetime photoshoots inspired by this breathtakingly iconic colonial architecture.
5° “Dos Caras, Una Luna” Speakeasy
The private ‘Dos Caras Una Luna’ Speakeasy is a charming, serene and elegant setting located on the upper level of our grand Stables. Reserved for the groom and his closest friends for moments of preparation, camaraderie and joy before the most extraordinary date.

Located just behind our grand Stables, this semi-arid sanctuary encloses diverse and colorful foliage all surrounding a beautiful cascade, crowning this place as an oasis which makes for a deeply relaxing, distinctive and romantic backdrop.

This ample, spacious and versatile hall is the quintessence of rustic elegance, where stunning architecture is bathed in the warmth of natural light, enhancing the elegant textures of stone and wood.
