Dos Caras Una Luna: A Toast to Camaraderie and Mexican Hospitality

As if drawn as a metaphor, the wide corridors of the Stables seem to bridge the present with golden memories of childhood. Family tradition and the constant company of horses through his early years left their mark on the founder of Luna Escondida, inspiring the dream of building a sanctuary for his gentle giants. Built with care and patience, the Stables awaken wonder with every step. Those who live here and those who visit are met, in equal measure, by the cool, sturdy textures of the stone walls and the lasting peace that dwells within each stall.
Today it is Soñador and Danilo who walk these corridors daily, corridors that have stood as quiet strongholds for so many couples in love, and for those closest to them. Perfect contrasts of one another, these elder horses of unmistakable presence teach the ranch's unhurried rhythm to the younger members of their herd. The strength and serenity that coexist so naturally in these horses have shaped the ranch's very philosophy of life, and their presence alone is the reason behind the dream that Luna Escondida has become.
Wrapped in the spirit of the horses resting below, one climbs the grand stone stairway, lined with a wrought-iron railing, to reach one of the ranch's most treasured spaces: the Dos Caras Una Luna speakeasy. Here, the groom prepares in the company of those closest to him, before raising a glass to the man of the hour with the estate's own tequila, Dos Caras, which lends its name to the very room that holds it. In this place, in this moment, and with every sip, one savors Mexican hospitality and its quiet devotion to doing things well.
Dos Caras Una Luna, from its very construction, was conceived to hold moments of camaraderie and quiet complicity: a corner with a leather chair worthy of an old-world barbershop, a long table of polished stone that calls for stories told over a lingering meal, sturdy sofas where conversation stretches on, won or lost over a game of chess. Barrels and saddles remain close by, a quiet reminder of the ranch's Mexican roots and of those who built it.
Within this speakeasy, every detail answers to a single idea of hospitality, one where architecture, tradition, and the tasting of the estate's own tequila converge into an experience deeply rooted in the ranch, in San Miguel de Allende, and in Mexico itself. In the building of this space, and in the experience it holds, lives the ranch's entire philosophy: a respect for craft, a genuine attention to detail, and a constant pursuit of excellence in every aspect of life.
