The beauty of Luna Escondida, one of the most distinctive wedding venues in San Miguel de Allende, reveals itself in a different dimension when approached through a weekend perspective. During Lucía & Jaime’s celebration, the venue was experienced across a series of moments and settings that invited new ways of inhabiting it. Under the direction of wedding planner Javier Bredeé, each space took on its own rhythm and character, revealing possibilities that extended beyond its usual use.
The ceremony took place at Las Caballerizas, a setting not commonly used for this type of celebration. Yet when it is, its architecture—defined by soaring stone walls and long corridors where the wind moves swiftly—creates an atmosphere of restraint and quiet sobriety that enhances the intimacy of the moment. The serene presence of the horses, naturally integrated into the surroundings, gives rise to an experience that feels impossible to replicate.
Later, the celebration moved toward the lake, where the reception and dinner unfolded. Set within the adjacent clearing, the layout blended seamlessly with the surroundings, allowing guests to remain closely connected to the natural landscape of San Miguel de Allende. The central fountain, framed by the light of the setting sun, gently marked the transition into the evening.
As the night progressed, the celebration continued in Salón Luna, where the first dance gave way to a more dynamic atmosphere that carried into the after party. Inspired by Art Deco, the aesthetic was expressed through geometric forms, symmetry, and a restrained palette of black, gold, and deep green. Warm lighting and chandeliers defined the ambiance without overwhelming it, while subtle luminous elements added refined accents throughout the space.
